Shu Li was born a healthy girl in a large town, the youngest of four, to an intensely matriarchal family. Shu Li was tasked with learning how to run and manage a household, even while she received a proper education.Her youth was a strange and turbulent balancing act of obedience to authority and intense disregard for the traditions of her family. She chose to pick up basic housework in her preparation to leave forever for the big city, right beneath her parents' noses. In Tyrhhia, there would be space to discover herself, to steal her independence and grow into her own.When she felt properly prepared, and before her sick mother can finally kick the bucket, Shu Li left and changed her identity into Julian.THE BIG CITY
He moved to Tyrhhia, a bustling city of developing technology in the golden age after war, to study as a civil engineer. He wound up working for a small company that is often contracted to city infrastructure work. His suggestions helped to advance the safety and material efficiency of the company (in turn, increasing both the profit margin and his boss’ trust). Even still, living in the city was expensive and when Julian’s shitty cubicle apartment burned down, he was forced to look for other living arrangements in the Classified section of newspapers.He became roommate to two individuals. The rent was affordable and the apartment is nice. His new roommates were a bit strange, so he often stayed in his room to avoid interacting with them.Despite this, he lives a comfortable, if busy, life in the big city and often takes trips out to enjoy nature
